Robert J. Reed, CFP®
Robert J. Reed has been providing financial and estate planning services to individuals and businesses since 1978. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in 1971. He has been licensed to use the Certified Financial Planner certification since 1981. Bob is a member of the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the fee-only financial planning organization. He was one of the first NAPFA members in Louisiana. Bob continues to champion the Fee-Only financial planner certification mark designed to reduce consumer confusion about the identity of true Fee-Only financial planners.
He has been contributed to articles for Money magazine and other financial publications. He was cited as “one of the most qualified financial planners in the United States” in Money magazine in 1987 and 1988, and in Worth magazine’s list of top financial planners in 1997 and 1998. Medical Economics has chosen Reed for their listing of “America's Best Financial Advisors”. He was named one of America's "Top Wealth Managers" by Bloomberg magazine in 2002 and 2003. He is a life member of the National Registry of Who’s Who.
Throughout his career Bob has held Board positions for numerous civic and professional organizations. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Bob and his wife Camille, have two children, Olivia and Bryson.

Joan is the Senior Financial Advisor at Personal Financial Advisors. Joan has a wealth of industry experience, a passion for financial planning, and for serving her clients. In 1984 she began her work with American Express Financial Advisors. In 2002 she moved to an independent advisory firm to be able to offer a larger range of services.
Joan’s work includes comprehensive planning for individuals to determine cash flow needs, forecasting future income needs, tax, retirement, insurance and estate planning as well as charitable giving. She is one of a select number of advisors in the country who has earned the Certified Financial Transitionist® (CeFT®) designation. She has been trained to understand human transitions on their deepest levels. She knows what influences the way we think and act when our world has suddenly and irrevocably changed. The work utilizes science-based, field tested tools and protocols designed specifically to merge the personal side and the technical side of financial change.
Joan earned her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1976. In 1987 she received the CFP® designation and in 2001 the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation.
Very active in the financial community, Joan has previously served on the board of the local chapter of the Financial Planning Association, was president of the Association of Employee Benefit Planners in New Orleans, and is a member of NAPFA -the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. She has taught financial literacy in a local battered women’s shelter and in schools through Junior Achievement. In 2014 and 2015 she received the Five Star Wealth Manager award featured in New Orleans magazine. She has also contributed to articles in national publications including the Wall Street Journal.
Joan Cox is a native of Louisiana and has lived on the Northshore since 1987. She and her husband Greg have two adult children. In her free time she enjoys listening to jazz, big band, fund and 60’s music, especially live. She also loves to travel.

Kimberly Crawford is the Director of Operations for Personal Financial Advisors. She assists in the processing and tracking of many types of account activity including account establishment, maintenance, transfers, day-to-day client account requests as well as providing general office support.

Greg Dennie is the Client Service Specialist for Personal Financial Advisors. He works in the operations side of the business and supports the advisors whenever assistance is needed.
Greg is a 2011 graduate of Louisiana State University He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Administration, along with a minor in Business Administration. While enrolled at LSU he served as Treasurer of the Student Organization for Sport Management for two semesters. He also was a member of the Phi SigmaTheta National Honor Society and made the College of Education's Dean's List three out of four eligible semesters. After graduating he gained experience working in the accounting, construction, medical and insurance industries before joining PFA in 2015. Finance has always been a major interest of his and something he strives to learn about every day. He is excited to be involved with such a great team and looks forward to growing his career here at Personal Financial Advisors.
